Simons Town

Located 40 kilometres from central Cape Town and en route to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, Simons Town is a quaint village on the eastern shoreline of False Bay. It's home to South Africa's oldest naval base, which has been in use for two centuries, and features cobbled streets and many historic cottages and homes.

Simons Town property represents an excellent investment because of the town's magnificent location between the mountain and sea, and the many South African and international tourists who visit it each year.

Known as Simons Town's historical mile, St George's Street is lined with buildings dating as far back as the mid 1800s. It also includes three museums - the Simons Town Museum, a naval museum and a toy museum, the oldest Anglican church in South Africa and a mosque that was built in 1926.

Just a few kilometres outside the centre of Simons Town, beautiful Boulders Beach is home to a large colony of African penguins. Boulders Beach also has sheltered coves with white sand and safe swimming, and a long wooden walkway connecting the swimming beaches to the main beach that the penguins inhabit.

Another key attraction for Simons Town property holders is Seaforth Beach. This is one of the few Cape Town beaches with a green lawn area and shade from trees, as well as white sand and safe swimming and snorkelling. Alongside the beach is a country club with a golf course that boasts stunning sea views.
