Herschel Jawitz CEO of Jawitz Properties says that the latest increase in rates by 25 basis points is going to have little impact on the residential market.
Most buyers were anticipating 25 basis points, at least, if not higher and would have factored this into the buying decision.
“The real impact will be felt by current homeowners and sellers who will have to adjust their expectations about what their home is worth, as buyers become more cautious and 'buy for value'. There may be fewer buyers in the market but those that are, will be quality purchasers,” he says
