Being a Californian living in South Africa makes me a bit of a Unicorn in the Free State. Even though I am not a Born South African, I love living in here, I love the people, the Landscape and the Weather because it’s close to what I grew up with.
I also love being social and a big part of my job requires negotiation skills. After a few years in Real Estate, I am able to teach a class on negotiation skills to many youngsters getting into the Real Estate Business.
Before I even thought of becoming an agent, I had a passion for property and I was flipping houses on my own with a very small team, so I understand how a client feels when it comes to buying and selling. It has also taught me to always have the highest Integrity in the real estate realm. Through my own experience it is imperative to maintain trust with my clients and to hold myself to a high ethical standard. After all I am working with someone’s life savings. For this reason alone, it’s of the utmost importance that I am principled and committed to doing what’s right. I’m a strong believer that any REALTOR, should be held to an even higher ethical standard.
I am also a people person and I worked as a Social Cohesion Officer in my previous capacity. The Ability to Network in Real estate is all about who you know and who knows you. Without connections, no one can ever be a successful real estate professional. The ability to network isn’t optional - it’s a required skill. I’ve often been told that I am a good listener and focused on quality conversations as well as determined to succeed for my clients.
Every deal is important. Every client must get what they want. But that doesn’t happen by accident being part of the Jawitz Welkom Team we drive ourselves to win for our clients who become our team members as well, because after all if our clients don’t make money, we don’t make money.
